The opportunity

Provides hands-on support and guidance across Agile teams to increase Agile knowledge and help teams deliver better products in a faster, more efficient manner. Helps teams or individuals to adopt an Agile mindset, implement Agile tools, and improve methods and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates learning and development among employees through individual and team coaching.
  • Supports teams in determining resource allocations to maintain Agile practices and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Continuously questions if teams are set up for success/helps remove obstacles by identifying project risks and raising them proactively.
  • Communicates Agile principles, Scrum practices, and overall operating model.
  • Provides coaching on the Agile approach guiding the team by observing, consulting and providing feedback for improvement.
  • Undertakes daily follow-ups with individual team members to ensure projects are on track and goals are being met.
  • Holds Stand-up meetings with multi-functional teams to review project status.
  • Assesses team’s Agile maturity and identifies strategies to improve team’s performance.
  • Adapts Agile practices for each team member in order to ensure continuous improvement of performance.
  • Works with project teams to analyze current systems and processes and design a strategy for adopting leading Agile practices.
  • Leads Agile workshops for developer and functional teams, as well as for key collaborators.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement, setting goals and achievements and assigning responsibility.
  • Drives cultural change by championing an Agile attitude, and ensures the organization is adhering to industry leading practices.
  • Enables teams to self-manage and find their own solutions to problems through the application of Agile principles, values, and practices.

    The Business Systems Analyst reports directly to Delivery Leaders in our US Retirement Technology area. This role is responsible for translating business strategies into organizational process and technical reality. While understanding the relationship between complex business and systems functions, he/she/they uses various tools, techniques, and communication mediums to drive alignment and integration across the organization while supporting business transformation efforts.

  • What we are looking for

  • Experienced as an Agile coach
  • Significant experience in facilitation & mentorship
  • Broad experience across software development, software testing, business analysis, architecture, UX and operations
  • Able to coach at various levels in the organization
  • Experience in using Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Track record of implementing Agile techniques in different work cultures and environments
  • Experience in running Agile projects of varying size and complexity

    Salary & Benefits

    The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

    Primary Location

    CAN, Ontario, Toronto, 200 Bloor Street East

    Salary range is expected to be between

    $92,190.00 CAD – $171,210.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
